WHAT DO I DO WITH ALL THIS
!@#$ BRUSH!!

Well that can be an issue. Here are three options:

1. Chip it and spread the mulch on site
2. Burn it
3. Haul it away.

CHIP IT: If several folks in your neighborhood go in together, you can rent a chipper. The chips that you create can be spread out on the forest floor. This mulch helps retain soil moisture and will help keep down the weeds and brush that you just cut back.

BURN IT: Burning can be a great option if its done right. A new brochure to help you do exactly that has been developed that will provide you with all the rules, tips, and phone numbers in one place. Call the Department of Natural Resources Pacific Cascade Region at (360) 577-2025 to request one.

HAUL IT: There are many places that will accept landscape materials fairly cheaply. They chip the material and it becomes mulch which of course keeps it out of landfills. If you don't have a truck, consider renting one with a neighbor, or several neighbors. Its almost guaranteed that someone else close by needs a truck to haul stuff away too.
